This March is a very special one for me, it’s our Riverstown salon’s 10th anniversary, my first salon.

Back in 2009, I was a 22 year old with big dreams and ambitions. I opened in the thick of the financial crisis and received lots of negative feedback prior to opening. This included being crazy due to the economic downturn, I was too young, the area was too rural, and that I wouldn’t last 6 months. But I have always thrived on doubt, it engulfs me to be even more determined to succeed. From that day in March 2009, I was determined to be a success. Over the years, there has been plenty of challenges including one of the hardest days of my personal life. However, my business and my love of my chosen career gave me purpose to fight for life and fight to keep going in what I have worked so hard for.

So here we are 10 years open, I am 10 years older and wiser. Our second salon in Ballymote is celebrating its 5th anniversary this year. I want to thank all our customers, both new and old, and all the staff for their hard work and determination.

I would like to invite everyone to help us celebrate on March 23rd from 2-6pm. Ocean FM will be broadcasting from outside. There will be face painting for the kids and Champers for the adults as well as discounted services with selected stylists.
